Q1: 私は初心者ですが、大丈夫でしょうか？
はい。実は、お客様のほとんどが初心者なんです。全く問題ありません。インストラクターが付いて、SUP/カヤックの基本を教えます。
Q1: I’m a beginner? Is that a problem?
Actually, most of our guests are beginners. It’s absolutely not a problem. An instructor will be assigned to your group and that instructor will help teach you the basics of SUP/Kayaking.
Q2: 泳げなくても大丈夫ですか？
はい。 泳げなくても、水の中で心地よさを感じられるのなら大丈夫です。ライフジャケット（PFD）もあるので、自分のカヤック/SUPまで泳いで戻ることはできると思います。 あまり泳げない方は、岸に近い場所にいることをお勧めします。潮の満ち引きにもよりますが、大浜海岸周辺はかなり浅いので、立ってボードに戻るのも簡単です。
Q2: Do I need to be able to swim?
You don’t have to be a strong swimmer but you need to feel comfortable in the water. You should be able to swim back to your kayak/SUP with the help of a life preserver (PFD). If you are not a strong swimmer, we recommend staying closer to shore. Depending on the tide, the area around Ohama beach is quite shallow, making it easy to stand and get back on your board.
Q3: 何歳からできますか？
3歳くらいから着用できるライフジャケットをご用意しています。小さなお子様は、保護者の方と一緒にSUPやシングルカヤックに無料で乗ることができます（1台のSUPに2人乗り）。8～10歳くらいになると、ほとんどのお子様が自分で漕げるくらいの体力があることが分かっています。
6歳から15歳の未成年者は、親が水上にいる場合のみSUPをすることができ、レンタル期間中、未成年 者の隣にいる必要があります。
16歳以上の未成年者は、親が同乗しなくてもSUPをすることができますが、親がレンタル放棄書に署名 することが必要です。
未成年者が親を伴わずにパドリングする場合は、プライベートツアーに参加する必要があります。
小さなお子様には大人1名と一緒にダブルカヤックを漕いでいただくことをお勧めします。

Q3 What is the minimum age?
We have life jackets that can fit children from about 3 years old. Small children can ride on a SUP or single Kayak for free with a guardian (2 people on one SUP). We’ve noticed that around 8-10 years of age, most kids have enough strength to paddle by themselves.
Minors 6-15 years of age may SUP only if a parent is on the water and will be next to the minor for the duration of the rental.
Minors 16 and up may SUP without a parent on the water with them but are required to have their parent sign the rental waiver.
Minors paddling without a parent on the water must join a private tour.
I recommend taking young children to paddle in a double kayak with ONE adult.

Q4: キャンセル料や変更料はかかりますか？
万が一、天候がツアーやアクティビティに適さない場合は、前日までにインストラクターからご連絡を差し上げます。その際、予約のキャンセルや変更が必要になる場合がありますが、無料で承ります。 また、アクティビティの２日前（48時間前）までであれば、無料で予約の変更・キャンセルが可能です。それ以降のキャンセルは、50％の手数料が必要です。 ツアー当日のキャンセルは、ツアー代金の全額をご請求させていただきます。悪天候によるキャンセルは無料です。天候や風向きは変わりやすいので、ご心配な方はお気軽にお問い合わせください。
Q4: Is there a cancellation of rescheduling fee?
If the weather happens not to be suitable for your tour or activity, your instructor will contact you on the previous day. At that time, we may need to cancel or change your booking, free of charge. You can also change or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your activity free of charge. Cancellations made within 48 hours require a fee of 50%. Any cancellations made on the same day of the tour will be charged the full amount of the tour. Cancellations due to bad weather conditions are free of charge. Weather and wind conditions can easily change so feel free to contact us if you have any concerns.

Q5: What should I bring with me?
You can bring any items to enjoy the beach. I also recommend bringing the following items :

Q6: SUPは何日も借りることができますか？
はい、複数日借りることができます。膨らませ方、片づけ方、お手入れの仕方などをお教えします。SUPを使ったことがない方は、事前にレッスンにご参加いただく必要があります。
Q6: Can I borrow a SUP for multiple days?
Yes, you can borrow an inflatable SUP for multiple days. We will teach you how to inflate, deflate, and take care of the SUP. If you’ve never used a SUP, you will need to join a lesson prior to your multi-day rental.
Q7: レンタルで行くのはどのビーチですか？他のビーチに行くことはできますか？
SUPレンタルを行うビーチは大浜海岸となります。香珠子の浜へはパドリングで20分ほどで行くことができます。比較的穏やかな海域で、保護もしっかりしているので、五島でSUPを楽しむには最も人気のあるビーチです。また、五島の様々なエリアでプライベートツアーを開催しています。詳しくはお問い合わせください。
Q7: What beach do we go to for rentals? Can we visit other beaches?
The beach for SUP rentals is called Ohama beach. It’s about a 20-minute paddle to visit Kojushi Beach. It’s the most popular beach for enjoying SUP in Goto because the waters are relatively calm and the area is well protected. We also offer private tours in different areas of Goto. Please contact us if you’d like more information.

Q9: 保険に加入していますか？
当スクールでは、日本マリンスポーツの保険に加入しています。この保険の費用は、レッスン料に含まれています。詳しくはお問い合わせください。
Q9: Do you have insurance?
Our school is enrolled in a basic insurance program for marine sports in Japan. The cost of this insurance is included in your lesson fee. If you’d like more information, please let us know. This insurance policy is a very basic policy, if you are concerned about insurance related we recommend purchasing your own travel insurance.
Q10: 天候が悪い場合はどうなりますか？
天候やその他の悪条件により、中止、延期、変更をお願いすることになります。初心者の場合、風速5km/s以上の中でSUPをするのは少し難しいかもしれません。天候の状況をよく観察し、そのつど連絡いたします。
Q10: What if the weather is bad?
We’ll need to cancel, postpone, or change due to weather and or other adverse conditions. For beginners, doing SUP in over 5 km/s wind speed can be a bit tricky. We’ll closely watch the weather conditions and stay in touch.
Q11: ホテルや貸別荘にSUP/カヤックを届けてもらえますか？
3日以上のレンタルであれば、ホテルや貸別荘にお届けすることが可能です。複数日レンタルの場合は、弊社でのレッスンが必要となります。大浜のレンタルハウス（Goto I-House、AKO House)にご宿泊の場合、複数日レンタルの割引があります。
Q11: Can you deliver a SUP / Kayak to my hotel or rental home?
If you rent a SUP for more than 3 days, it’s possible for us to deliver it to your hotel or rental home. For a multi-day rental, you’ll need to take a lesson with us. If you are staying in one of our rental homes in Ohama (Goto I House, Ako House), we offer a discount for multi-day rentals.
